One of the oddest sagas comes to an end with this film. The saga of Evil Dead
comes to a screeching halt as this movie goes. It picks up where "Evil
Dead II: Dead By Dawn" leaves off. Our hero, Ash (played by Bruce
Campbell) finds himself in medieval England. After being declared "the
chosen one" he is sent off to find the only thing that can sent him back
to his own time, the Necronomican Ex Mortus, or the Book of the Dead. Once found
he returns to the castle only to find that hell has broken loose because, you
guessed it, he screwed up. Let's just say that you should never give good old
Ash more than two Latin words to remember. Anyway... Ash manages to save the
day, yet again, with he trusty chainsaw and "double barrel Remington, S-Mart's
top of the line." He gets sent back to his own time where he lives out
his days as an employee of S-Mart in the housewares section.
We have to thank the three musketeers of Renaissance Pictures for this exhilarating
film and it's two prequels, Sam Raimi,
Rob Tapert, and Bruce Campbell. And let's
not forget to thank and congratulate Ted Raimi on playing three roles and only
getting real credit for one. Yea Ted!
