This film is a true account of an actual demon possession.
The actual person was a boy, with a different name of course, and a different
location, but the story is the same. He to this day does not know about the
occurrences that happened in these months. The girls name was Regan She was
a young girl who's mother was an actress and father was somewhere else. She
had just recently begun playing with a Ouija Board alone (and we all should
know that that is just a bad idea, see "Witchboard" if you don't believe me.).
She had found a friend in the board, and talked to him often. Then the weird
things began to happen. The bed began to shake, levitate, move. The room got
cold, and Regan began to talk in another voice. A deep voice. To make a long
story short, Priests were called in after this was decided to be a demon position.
After hours of attempts, Father Maynard and Father Damien Karras succeeded,
but at what cost? Well, after the ordeal ended, the girl remembered nothing
and her life went on as if nothing strange had ever happened to her. If you
want the entire story, then read The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty ( would
know if my brother didn't hide the book under his bed and then put it into storage).
And if you want a good spoof on it, see Repossessed staring Linda Blair and
Leslie Neelson.
