Many people have a fear of clowns, but the town of Derry, Maine has a legitimate reason to be afraid - they have one that just happens to be a killer. You may say "that's been done before", but that just shows that you haven't seen this movie OR read this book. This is the story to end them all, and the main reason? TIM CURRY as Pennywise the Dancing Clown. He does a wonderful job at making this terrifying creation jump to life and attack. Pennywise was a real clown at one point in time, but after a while, something changed. Ever since then he has come back every thirty years to the town of Dairy to kill. Only children can see him, and that is his plan. Most children like clowns (unlike me) and flock to them, attracted by balloons and jokes. But there were seven children that he never got, and thirty years later he is back, and so are they. This time, they are going to make him pay for the years of nightmares and the murder of all of the children, especially Georgie, one of their brothers.
