Wes Craven

Born: August 1, 1939 in Cleveland, Ohio
Wes Craven is the creator of some of the most famous on going horror-movie series. The first being "Nightmare on Elm Street". This series reached it's sixth film in the mid nineties It started in the 1980's, and stared Johnny Depp. This series is about a child killer named Fred Kruger. The second series just recently reached it's final stage (THANK THE GODS!!!), and that would be the "Scream" series. If you don't know about those, I am happy for you. But if you haven't seen the first "Nightmare", then please do, it's very close to a masterpiece for the 1980's.
Personal Quotes:
"I believe the cinema is one of our principal forms of art. It is an incredibly powerful way to tell uplifting stories that can move people to cry with joy and inspire them to reach for the stars."

(Speaking of Horrormovies) "It's like boot camp for the psyche. In real life, human beings are packaged in the filmiest of packages, threatened by real and sometimes horrifying dangers, events like Columbine. But the narrative form puts these fears into a manageable series of events. If gives us a way of thinking rationally about our fears."
