Born in Liverpool, England, Clive Barker now makes his home in Los Angeles, California. There, in addition to his work as a novelist and short-story writer, he is also a painter and filmmaker. Barker is the author of many world-wide best selling books, including The Books of Blood, The Damnation Game, Weaveworld, Imajica, and Sacrament. He has written, produced, or directed such films as Nightbreed (from the story Cabal), Lord of Illusions (from the short-story The Last Illusion), the Candyman series, and the Hellraiser series (based on his novelette The Hellbound Heart).
